'No route to host' when attempting to mount cifs drive

This error is produced when you attempt to mount from the command line however to do not have the keyutils and cifs-utils packages installed.

mount: /media/alex/smb: mount(2) system call failed: No route to host.
       dmesg(1) may have more information after failed mount system call.
